Hong Kong MTR Map
The Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway is made of 12 light rail lines. It serves the most important places of Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong International airport and the Disneyland Resort. Hong Kong MTR Lines
East Rail Line
The East Rail Line runs from Hung Hom to Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations. It is labelled with the sky blue color on the subway map.
City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University can be accessed from Kowloon Tong station, while the Chinese University of Hong Kong is located close to University MTR station. The Sha Tin Racecourse, a famous horse racing venue, can be visited from Racecourse station, which is only opened on race days. It is also possible to take a train to Mainland China, to Beijing and Shanghai in particular, at Hung Hom station.
Kwun Tong Line
Kwun Tong Line operates between Whampoa and Tiu Keng Leng stations. The Kwun Tong Line is also known as the Green Line.
Kowloon Walled City used to be located at walking distance from Lok Fu station. Some historical artefacts were preserved and can still be contemplated there. The well known Wong Tai Sin Temple can be visited from Wong Tai Sin MTR station.
Tsuen Wan Line
Tsuen Wan Line runs between Central station and Tsuen Wan. It is the Red Line on the metro map.
Statue Square, a major pedestrian area of Hong Kong, and Tamar, where the government offices are located, can be visited from Central station. The Avenue of Stars, the Hong Kong Hollywood Boulevard, is located at walking distance from Tsim Sha Tsui metro station. You can also visit the Antiquities and Monuments Office from Jordan station.
The Island Line operates from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan station on the Hong Kong Island. The Island Line can be recognized on the subway map with its dark blue color.
The University of Hong Kong, a major public research university in Hong Kong, is located close to HKU station, while the Happy Valley Racecourse can be accessed from Causeway Bay metro station. Hong Kong Central Library, the most important library there, is located at walking distance from Tin Hau station. You also have the possibility to take a ferry to Macau at the Hong Kong–Macau Ferry Terminal.
Tung Chung Line
Tung Chung Line operates between Hong Kong and Tung Chung stations. It is also known as the Orange Line.
The International Finance Centre can be accessed from Hong Kong MTR station. The International Commerce Centre, one of the tallest buildings in the world, is located very close to Kowloon station.
The Airport Express runs from Hong Kong station to the Airport and AsiaWorld–Expo. It takes 24 minutes to reach the airport from Hong Kong station. The Airport Express is labelled with the turquoise color on the map.
The line was built to link Hong Kong city center to the Hong Kong International Airport. The AsiaWorld–Expo, a major exposition hall, can be accessed from the station that shares the same name.
Tseung Kwan O Line
Tseung Kwan O Line operates from North Point to Po Lam and LOHAS Park stations. It is the Purple Line on the subway map.
Metro City, one of the largest shopping centres in Hong Kong, is located at Po Lam station.
West Rail Line
The West Rail Line operates between Hung Hom and Tuen Mun. You can recognize the West Rail Line on the map with its magenta color.
Hong Kong Coliseum, a major indoor arena in Hong Kong, is located very close to Hung Hom station, where you can also take a train to Shaghai and Beijing. You have the possibility to visit the Clock Tower from East Tsim Sha Tsui station. Kat Hing Wai walled village can be accessed from Kam Sheung Road station, while the neighbourhood of Yuen Long Kau Hui is located close to Yuen Long metro station.
Ma On Shan Line
Ma On Shan Line runs from Tai Wai station to Wu Kai Sha. It is also known as the Brown Line.
The walled village of Tsang Tai Uk can be visited from Sha Tin Wai station. The Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Che Kung Temple are located at walking distance from Che Kung Temple station.
Disneyland Resort Line
The Disneyland Resort Line operates between Sunny Bay and Disneyland Resort. It can be easily recognized on the subway map with its pink color.
The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is accessible from the MTR station that holds the same name.
South Island Line
The South Island Line runs from Admiralty to South Horizons station. The South Island Line is labelled with the yellow-green color on the subway map.
Ocean Park Hong Kong, a major recreation park in Hong Kong, can be accessed from Ocean Park MTR station
The Light Rail Transit operates between Lung Mun and Yuen Long in the eastern part of the New Territories. You can recognize the Light Rail on the map with its light brown color.
It is the most frequented line of the MTR network, with around 500,000 passengers using its services every day. It serves the northwestern part of the New Territories.
Hong Kong MTR Schedule
Trains on the Hong Kong MTR network run between 6 AM and 1 AM. The first train on the Airport Express leaves the first station at 5.50 AM, while the last train on West Rail line leaves Hung Hom station at 23.07 PM.

Hong Kong MTR Fares
The ticket price on the Hong Kong MTR depends on the distance of your journey. The more you travel, the more you pay. As an example, a journey between Central station and Disneyland Resort will cost HK$29, while a ride between Hong Kong and Prince Edward stations costs HK$5.5.
