Munich Metro Map
The Munich Metro network, also known as Munich U-Bahn, is made of 96 stations over 8 different lines, labelled with colours. It is the second busiest rapid transit system in Germany, with around 400 millions passengers using it every year, and the second longest with 103 km of routes, after the Berlin Metro. Munich Metro Lines
Line 1, or U1, runs from Olympia-Einkaufszentrum to Mangfallplatz station. It is labelled with the Green colour on the map.
Line 2 operates from Feldmoching to Messestadt Ost station. Also known as U2, it is the Red line on the metro map.
Line 3 runs from Moosach station to Fürstenried West. Line 3 is also known as the Orange line, or U3.
Line 4, or U4, operates from Westendstraße to Arabellapark station. You can find it labelled with the Turquoise colour on the Munich metro map.
U5, or Line 5 runs from Laimer Platz station to Neuperlach Süd. It is labelled with the Amber colour on the U-Bahn map.
Line 6 operates from Klinikum Großhadern to Garching-Forschungszentrum. Station Fröttmaning served the Allianz Arena, home of the Bayern Munich Football Club. Line 6 is the Blue line on the map, and is also known as U6.
Line 7, sometimes called U7, runs from Olympia-Einkaufszentrum station to Neuperlach Zentrum. This line operates only from Mondays to Fridays.
U8, or Line 8 operates from Olympiazentrum to Sendlinger Tor station. It operates only on Saturdays.
